SELF RELIANT DIVER
Dive with Confidence. Master Self-Reliance.

Why Learn to Dive Self-Reliant?
Scuba diving is often taught as a buddy system activity—but what if you want the freedom to dive on your own terms? Underwater photographers, solo-traveler divers, and experienced explorers often find themselves in situations where independence is essential.

The PADI Self-Reliant Diver Specialty Course teaches you to safely plan and execute dives without relying on a buddy. It’s not about encouraging solo diving in every situation, but about developing the confidence, awareness, and redundant systems that make you a stronger, safer diver in any scenario.

Here in Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, with their breathtaking walls, drifts, and pelagic encounters, you’ll find the perfect training ground for mastering self-reliant techniques.
pre-requisites
To enroll in the PADI Self-Reliant Diver Specialty, you must:
-
Be 18 years old or older
-
Hold at least a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
-
Have a minimum of 100 logged dives (*with a proof of logbook)

This ensures you already have the experience needed to focus on self-reliance skills.
The refresher course required for any scuba diver who has been out of the water for longer than a year prior to taking another dive course or going out on fun dives.
What You’ll Learn on the course
Over the course of 3 dives, our instructor will train you to:
